Sangria is Easy!

       Sangria may seem like a complicated and fussy drink to mix up, but its actually quite easy! There are 3 main components to a good sangria: The wine, the liquor and the fruit. In this guide i'll give you three recipes you can choose from just in case you're allergic to one of them, or have some fruit based intolerance that only you seem to have. Let's dive in.

 

Recipe #1

 

Red Sangria

(8 servings)

 

Ingredients

- (1) .750L bottle of dry red wine (Cabernet, Malbec, Merlot etc.)

- (1) .750L bottle of Prosecco or any sparkling wine

- (1) 1/2 cup plain brandy or Cointreau (slightly more expensive, great taste)

- (2) Oranges

- (2) Apples

- (1) any size bottle of Triple Sec (orange flavored liqueur)

- (1) any size bottle of simple syrup (found at a grocery store)

 

Preparation

 

Step 1: In a large bowl, pour in your red wine and your brandy or Cointreau  

 

Step 2: Chop up your apples and oranges into large slices or chunks and add them in.

 

Step 3: Chill for 3 hours.

 

Step 4: Add half the bottle of prosecco or sparkling wine.

 

Step 5: Taste. If it's still too try for your liking, add in triple sec or simple syrup until it is sweet enough.

 

Step 6: Serve and enjoy! Don't forget to include those chunks of fruit into the glass, they're half the fun of the drink!

 

 

Recipe #2

 

White Sangria

(8 servings)

 

Ingredients

- (1) .750L bottle of sweet white wine (Moscato, Riesling, Pinot Grigio etc.)

- (1) .750L bottle of Prosecco or any sparkling wine

- (1) 1/2 cup bottle of peach brandy 

- (2) Peaches

- (1) Carton of raspberries

- (1) any size bottle of Triple Sec (orange flavored liqueur)

- (1) any size bottle of simple syrup (found at a grocery store)

 

Preparation

 

Step 1: In a large bowl, pour in your white wine and your peach brandy.

 

Step 2: Chop up peaches into large chunks and throw your raspberries into the bowl

 

Step 3: Chill for 3 hours.

 

Step 4: Add half the bottle of prosecco or sparkling wine.

 

Step 5: Taste! If it's not sweet enough, there might be something wrong with you. Either way, add simple syrup or triple sec to sweeten it up.

 

Step 6: Serve and enjoy! Don't forget to include the fruit in the glass!

 

 

Recipe #3

 

Rose Sangria

(8 servings)

 

Ingredients

- (1) .750L bottle of rose

- (1) .750L bottle of Prosecco or any sparkling wine

- (1) 1/2 cup bottle of cognac

- (1) Pineapple

- (1) Carton of strawberries

- (1) Carton of raspberries

- (1) any size bottle of Triple Sec (orange flavored liqueur)

- (1) any size bottle of simple syrup (found at a grocery store)

 

Preparation

 

Step 1: In a large bowl, pour in your rose wine and your cognac.

 

Step 2: Chop up pineapple into large chunks and throw your raspberries and strawberries into the bowl

 

Step 3: Chill for 3 hours.

 

Step 4: Add half the bottle of prosecco or sparkling wine.

 

Step 5: Taste! If it's too dry, add simple syrup or triple sec to sweeten it up.

 

Step 6: Serve and enjoy! Don't forget to include the fruit in the glass!
